GAMEBALL and JOKER ==> BRAVES at GIANTS 10/07 NLDS Game 1
Man, finally made it home…tired, voice is cracking and I got to get some sleep before work so this will be quick
GAMEBALL and JOKER ==> BRAVES at GIANTS 10/07 NLDS Game 1
GAMEBALL
TIMMY
I have watched opening days and his all star appearance with an eye towards how he might handle the adrenaline hit of a postseason appearance…..well, looks like he took to post season 100 times better….man, what a !@#$ performance, I was just hoping he would get out of the 1st and have a good start and give the Giants a chance to win…….but instead, Timmy was just lights out nasty…..and there was no way he was coming out……this was his game, and he was going to bring that mother home……
TIP OF THE CAP :
POSEY
2 hits and a "stolen base"…..I didn't see the replays and was too far away to see if he was out…..I know nothing
ROSS
The roster move pays off with an RBI single in a game where 1 run seemed like 10….
STEVE PERRY
For all the smack I talked, I admit when I saw him in pregame I did high five him and likely scare the crap out of him as I discussed my enthusiasm for the Giants…..but the tip of the cap …. Steve didn't depart for his Suite or even Field Club…..he was headed to Lower Box to watch the game with the masses……
FANS
On !@#$ fire…..man, the "PO-SEY'S BET-TER" clap clap…clap clap clap…..!@#$ cracking my ass up……classic…….
JOKER
COX
Congrats on your great career, and good luck on your retirement……so, what was that whole walking of Pablo about????.....yeah, that worked out…..
SMACK OF THE STICK :
ANKIEL
Had some fun heckling from the first row of CF bleachers….10 years and 4 days removed from the NLDS meltdown… Hey, it’s a great comeback story…..but fair game for heckle material
CONRAD
As an infielder, he is a great DH…….
GUILLEN
Finally, someone comes to their senses……thank you whatever, however this happened…..I was jumping off a bridge if his defense cost us in a close series…..

(The fine print: There will be cussing and bad taste. This is written with the heat of the moment feel you may have during the game, with rational thought sprinkled in now and then. This is entertainment folks, sure there is a lot of truth and I am a genius, but this is all about having a laugh and enjoying the ride…….now lets go heckle Jeff Kent when he gets inducted to Cooperstown..)

Why anyone would walk Sandoval is beyond me. And yeah, Posey was definitely out.

Posey was out at 2nd, but you know what?
Earlier in the year Ishikawa was also safe at home against the Mets.
This is baseball...Sometimes the punches don't roll your way, but yesterday they did and God Bless Us for that.
I want to see a huge game tonight from HUFF DADDY!

Yeah don't know which offense is more anemic ours or the Braves. By the way Atlanta's got some nasty relievers. Runs are going to be a premium so please Bochy bring back the sac bunt! If Torres leads off a game with a base hit you 100% have to sac with Freddie.

To me watching live on TV, it looked like Posey was out, but most of the time, you'll hear the announcers question the call or you'll see the SS jump up and complain to the ump, neither of which happened. Yes, this was a call that went our way after consulting the replay, but there are a lot of bang bang plays that go the wrong way. I don't think this was one of those "Jim Joyce" moments where everyone knew he was out except the ump.
In any case, Timmy had 31 swing and misses last night, which is a career high and the most in a MLB game this year. Dealin'.

Gotta say, i enjoyed the TBS broadcast, wasnt too over the top like crappy FOX. Brenly is alot like Kruk with his info. I really enjoyed the Posey/Heyward bit they did when the two played vs eachother in HS. Allthough Dick Stockton is mainly an NFL/NBA guy, he held his own well in this game. It was a game i rarely found myself saying "WTF are you talking about", like a typical Buck/Mcarver crapfest....
