Fair enough. Alonso it is thenemoticon

Heck, I'm not sure Alonso will be there at #5 right now, especially with the early hitting tear he's on in college.

It should also be noted that it appears Brett Wallace is attempting the move to third, mostly to allow playing time at first for a teammate...but BA thinks it could stick.

Not that this is a thread about the draft.

Alonso had a slow start to the season HR wise, but he had 3 over the weekend, with one on Friday, and 2 on Saturday.

I hope to hell he's around at 5.

Rick Hurd: Scouts take on Frandsen

Weeks knocked one into the parking garage by Mark Light Field this past weekend.

I think he'll be better than his brother. Sobolewski isn't too bad on that team either.

I did not realize that Kipnis had redshirted...I wonder why I hadn't heard too much about him.

I'm going to have to get starte on draft research again soon.

Haggerty has been a nice surprise too. And Raben hasn't hit the field. I'll put their offense against anyone's. And I agree about Weeks.

Their pitching needs to hold up over the course of the season, and they'll be fine.

That and basketball have definitely taken away from the sting of their wretched football season this year.

Helluva recruiting class though. Last years as well.
I have hope.
The pitching has been surprising early on. And hopefully that continues.

They had a great class.

Anything was an upgrade over Coker.

of course he's not gonna go higher than Alonso or Weeks. Kipnis is probably just the teams 5th best hitter.

I'm just waiting for ASU to play someone of note and get out of the thin air.
Solid team though. Wallace a supplemental pick you think?
