You're not going to get a 25hr/80rbi guy with an excellent glove for 3-4 mil ANYWHERE.
Q: How many times has Feliz hit 25 or more HR's?
A: 0
Q: how many third basemen have a SLG percentage lower then Feliz's .418?
A: 5
Melvin Mora .418 (.341 OBP)
Jose Batista .414 (.339 OBP)
Alex Gordon .411 (.314 OBP)
Brandon Inge .376 (.312 OBP)
Nick Punto .271 (.291 OBP)
Q: How many 3B had lower OBP then Feliz's .290?
A: 0
Nick Punto's (second worst): .291
RBI's are pretty much meaningless, they mean that enough people that hit in front of you got on base and more often then not in scoring position.

No news on Feliz?
Those 2 statistics are the reason why Feliz is not getting any calls.
He should face reality and go somewhere to play the corner INF and maybe LF off the bench. No one will give him a 3 year contract.

Tell that to the numerous other teams in the market for a 3rd basemen who haven't signed Feliz.
because he wants 3 years. Einstein.

No news on Feliz?
Shall we bet?
Feliz will NOT get :
3 years/ $10M total
2 years/$10M total
1 year/$5M total
from ANY team (except from the stupid Sabean Giants).
--- Do not suggest trading for somebody for only two years (unless the Giants dump a crappy contract)

Well according to you, that is when you take Feliz's cock out of your hands long enough to type, he is well worth 3 years...as you cannot find a gold glove, 20HR/90RBI guy for 3-4mil ANYWHERE. Right? So who WOULDN'T want to sign an amazing talent like that for 3 years?

If February comes around and he hasn't signed with anyone, I may accept him for 3 years $2.5M.
He would be good off the Bench who in a pinch could play SS, 1B or LF, and be a defensive replacement at 3rd. Come in as a Pinch Hitter in the right situations.
Then again just having him on the roster would be a risk in him actually starting 140+ times.

No news on Feliz?
Hmm, is there a point at which the Giants won't get a draft pick if he signs elsewhere? Because that's the soonest I'd take him back.
Supplemental round draft pick >>> Feliz playing for minimum salary.

I believe he declined Arbitration so we don't get a compensation pick. I would wait until February before making an offer if I were Sabean, make him realize that not many people want a 3B that grounds out to SS 2/3 of the time and only gets on base 29% of the time.

No news on Feliz?
It doesn't matter if he declined, all that mattered is that the Giants offered it to him.

If Feliz had accepted arbitration, he would already be considered under contract with the Giants for 2008, so there would be no way for the Giants to get a compensatory pick.
