Hamels started toward the dugout after what he thought was a strike. Lincecum didn't get the call & buzzed ump Dana DeMuth w. a fastball that slammed off the backstop & then froze Hamels w. another 3rd strike. 4/28/10 Timmy the ump killer.

2nd game before the game i'm trying to say hi to mark sweeney and i end up with the ball he was warming up with ray durham.

then to make it even more WOW..i was able to have him sign the ball! I'm so glad!

He did well that night. He got 2/4 and one of those was a HR that was 366 feet (pic will be up later hopefully)

thank you mark sweeney.

Re: Monkey 51

it's coming back to me now...

i figured out the sweeney factor...

looking at the box score for that game i noticed something that made a light bulb go off in my head (yes i can be blonde at times) and it was that sweeney was starting in LF and Taschner was pitching that night. even if Taschner was just guarding evilmonkey and myself were "cat calling" to jack. if sweeney heard that that would make sense. I did give everyone encouragement that night. didn't matter who they were.

so that's how i figured out how he knew me. not from my face, but from my voice. emoticon

i didn't think my day would be good. i had a dodger fan heckle me by calling me to ask me what happened.

i then get a call asking if i wanted to go to the game. i said sure. not really thinking. i get there and i see mark sweeney warming up. he was close by close enough to get a pic but no luck (BOOOO! think armando blowing a save) and then when he's warming up he waves hi at me. i hope it was at me.

he goes to bat 1st time. strikes out...then 2nd time strikes out..and that time i had to rush back to my seat..no usher to stop me while he was in the batters box i rush all the way down...

then i see bonds hit 725! WOW!

mark goes on to play and then gets taken out going 2/4 (monkey still works well)

todd greene gets "addams family" intro later in the game (really wrong but i think he got a hit and scored someone)

after the game..leaving quickly got out to see mr barry bonds himself in normal clothes with a box of stuff...i think it's from the game..cos he hit a HR with it..

and then i saw mccovey while leaving...

BUT before the game..i went to buy stuff at the dugout..and i rubbed the seal's belly (i dunno what's wrong with me) and he took shots of mark sweeney while getting stretched (not bad) and tried to of omar (BAD) and himself (REALLY BAD) and omar came by to talk to his "g/f" and i got a ball..that mark had thrown to ppl but they missed BUT i gave it up for a little girl who doesn't have much...

and that my folks was my night..oh and on the way out found an extra ticket for the game and so i can get 2 725 pins! WHOOO HOO!

oh and i bought something at safeways but didn't eat it..so i think that's the rule...buy soemthign at safeway and dont eat it and we get a win..hmm..worked a few times so far..

As I sit and wait for what will be one of the most depressing games of the season (oh who the hell am I kidding they've been depressing for a while) I find that I am spending time on youtube. This is not a plug for that website.

I am looking up things from my past like music videos from groups that were once together and now aren't. There are the famous boy bands of the 90s who have now grown up and started their own bands and or just faded away to live the quiet life.

You'd be amazed at the amount of time you can spend there. You could be thinking of videos and then all of a sudden jump to something else. You could be looking for videos about baseball or videos of paradies just to cheer you up.

Whatever it is, youtube has it.

Meanwhile, off the VRL...I'm thinking about cutting my hair again. It seemed to have worked in the past, but then I got to thinking about how it isn't me...but it's the team. They put their heart into the game, but stil don't blend and mix well together after 5 months together. Sure it's Sepetember and the call ups are here to relieve the old men who are worn from the 5 months without them, but did they ever feel like their jobs were theirs to lose?

After the release of Jose Vizcaino no one really seemed to be playing poorly. We were on a roll, but then injuries came back to the team and the chemistry was just gone.

It seems like the only ones who are giving an effort at all are the free agents, but even then not all of them are playing their best. Look at Finely who's been helping the team when it doesn't matter. Pedro without a contract, but needs one and will get one from another team that really needs a 3rd baseman or someone who can play a couple of positions.

The fact that we have no catcher scares me. Todd Greene is a nice guy, but he's not Matheney the one known as "Iron Mike". With a rookie catcher who knows if he can even produce equally to this year? Has the league figured him out? Will he try to learn proper plate discipline? Will he stop hacking at everything he sees?

Then there are the pitchers. We have Schmidt who's our "Ace" with no contract. But is there someone better who we can get as the "Ace" of the team? Do we let young Matt Cain take the spot? Do we demote the veteran if he's resigned?

There are so many questions as to how this team will look next season. This will be an interesting one because of all the spots we have to fill.

Then there's the All Star Game that's coming next season. Will it be the highlight of the year because it won't be the Giants playing, but the All Stars coming. Will the team be doing poorly or will they be well ahead in the race?

So much to think about during the off season. So much to wonder and hope that it can only get better. Will we be "renting" players again? Will we have the "old man" pitcher again? Will we resign those that were once a Giant just so they can retire as one or just so we can DFA them again and break their dreams?

Will we see an unexpected retirement next season one a milestone has been reached? There is a lot to be asked and yet, there are no answers right now. Even if we were to ask the managers or the front office personal at the Gaints, would they have an answer for us?

Time will tell. Until spring training of 2007...
